Ingredients

For Tofu & BBQ Sauce:

  1. 3 packs of AFC Firm Tofu (Choose from 3 different sizes: 14oz. Organic, 19oz. & 14oz.)
  2. 1 Onion (thinly sliced)
  3. 3 tablespoon of oil for frying
  4. 2 cans of Tomato paste (8oz cans)
  5. 2 cups of Water
  6. 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  7. 3 tablespoons Molasses
  8. 1/4 cup Vinegar
  9. 1 1/2 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
  10. 1 teaspoon Salt
  11. 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  12. 2 shots of Bourbon
  13. Hot sauce (to taste)
For Smoked Coleslaw:
  1. 4 cups Green cabbage
  2. 1 cup Red cabbage
  3. 3 Carrots
  4. 1/2 cup of vegan Mayo
  5. 1/4 cup of Sugar
  6. 1/4 cup of Vinegar
  7. 1/4 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
  8. Salt
  9. Pepper
  10. Garlic powder

Instructions

Directions for Tofu & BBQ Sauce:

  1. Preheat oven for 425°F and crumble tofu into non-stick pan. Stir-fry tofu to rid moisture and starts to brown.
  2. Place tofu into foil baking dish along with prepared ingredients for BBQ sauce. Add in onions.
  3. Cover baking dish with foil and place in oven for about an hour. Check again at 30 minute mark to stir.
  4. The moisture in tofu should gradually evaporate with time and the tofu itself should start to darken.
  5. However, try to keep the tofu moist by adding minimal water (if necessary).
Directions for Smoked Coleslaw:
  1. Thinly slice the cabbages and carrots into shreds and place into a salad mixing bowl.
  2. Combine all other remaining ingredients into mixing bowl and toss evenly.
  3. Ready to serve.
